marked it down on a rock in my pocket
patterns are easy once you learn how to spot them
pointed up to the bright then i pointed down to the high
a body with power that changes like mine
they gotta wanna see it too
notice how her body moves
through harvests and my lovers
chasing silver manes
horns burst through
then she's dipping out again
can't step in twice when it moves through
nails are growing longer every day
steady pushing through at their decided rate
she's moving further in her own ways
i cut my fingernails
throw them away
marked it down on a rock in my pocket
they scar he up with their flags and their rockets
tossed it down for a ripple for an echo
a little cheat sheet so others could take note
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
